Finally, an Indian supermarket in Markt Schwaben after years of driving into Munich just for grocery shopping!

The fresh produce shelf is what got me. Fresh avarakkai, tender bhindi, karela, ginger by the basket, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, fresh chillies, all in the kind of quality I'd usually have to go into the city for. Everything is clearly turning over fast, no wilt, no shrivel. That alone is unusual this far east of Munich.

The spice section is properly curated, not just bulk-stocked. You can tell someone has thought about what an Indian household actually cooks with, rather than just filling shelves. The frozen aisle has North Indian parathas, Kerala parottas, chapatis, and a good range of Indian snacks. They mentioned frozen Indian fish is coming in this week, vanjaram, pomfret, mackerel and a few other varieties. Really good news for the area.

For a shop barely a month old, this is already the most useful and well-organised Indian grocery stop on the eastern side of Munich. Looking forward to watching it grow. Special mention to the kind attention from the owners every time we drop in. A wonderful addition to Markt Schwaben!!! The store has an excellent selection of Indian and Asian groceries, including a wide range of spices, lentils, and specialty items.
